Mrs. Andrea W. Wu is the President of American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei since July 1, 2008.
Mrs. Andrea Wu, was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. After completing her college education at Fu-Jen Catholic University, she attended California State University Los Angeles for post graduate study emphasizing in Finance and Business Administration. Prior to working for American Chamber Taipei, she has been the General Manager for United Airlines in Taiwan since year 2000. During the term, Mrs. Wu was an active task team member in Board of Airline Representatives and a key member of Steering Committee of Star Alliance in Taiwan. Andrea was the Chair of See America Committee in Taiwan 2006- 2008 and the Chairperson of International Advisory Committee (IAC) for International Travel Trades in 2007 & 2008. She actively worked with AIT and local travel agencies to promote travel to United States. Prior to her employment with United Airlines, Mrs. Wu has worked for a California based real estate development company as an Operation Manager in Santa Monica, CA for eight years.
In 2002 & 2003, Andrea served as the Vice Chair of American Chamber in Taipei while also acted as the Co-Chair of Transportation Committee. In 2004, she was elected as the first female Chairperson of the Chamber. For two consecutive years in 2003 and 2004, she joined and led the Door Knock delegation to Washington D.C. In her current role, she works closely with government officials and business leaders to foster the growth of investment and trade between United States and Taiwan, and to represent AmCham’s diverse membership on issues of common interest.
